Jason J. Humphreys: Hailing from Nicholsville, NS, Canada, I grew up surrounded by forests, rivers and lakes. My interest in writing took off when I was in Grade 10, but my first memorable exposure to secular poetry was a poem by Friedrich Wilhelm Gull - a poem that my mother taught me to recite in German. My wife and I currently live in the western end of the picturesque Annapolis Valley where we enjoy, in part, a quiet, peaceful existence.
